How do I create an event on Lalaland?
Sign in to Lalaland and open Create. Add your activity, date, time and online or in-person location, set capacity and joining rules, then review and publish. Manage participants and updates in My Events. Check location visibility before sharing your invitation.
Bring people together with a clear invitation
Lalaland lets members create online or in-person events from the browser or mobile app. A useful invitation explains who the event is for, what will happen and what participants should know before joining.
1. Describe your plan
Sign in and open Create. Add a specific title, description, date and time. Explain the activity and format. For example, a small coffee conversation should say how long it lasts and whether participants need to prepare anything.
2. Set joining expectations
Choose capacity and joining rules that fit the gathering. Use joining questions for relevant information and explain any additional event requirements. Do not ask for sensitive information that is unnecessary for the event.
3. Check location visibility
For an offline gathering, decide which location details should be public and which should be limited to confirmed members. Check descriptions and images too: hiding the address in a location field does not remove it from text or photos you publish.
4. Publish and communicate changes
Review the event before publishing. Use My Events and its Hosting filter to find your gatherings. Keep details current and use the available participant updates and attendance tools. Communicate schedule changes clearly so members can plan.
Before you publish
Check that the title, date, time and format agree with the description. Confirm capacity, joining requirements and location visibility. Explain what to bring and how participants will receive updates. Follow Lalaland’s community guidelines.
Understand the limits of identity checks
An Identity Verified badge is a real-person signal, not verification of legal identity, age, gender or background, and it cannot guarantee safety. Use report and block controls for concerns. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Event prices and payment
In Create event, Step 2 lets you choose the currency and amount per person. Enter zero for Free. For a paid event, choose Pay at the event or Pre-payment and explain payment arrangements to participants. Lalaland displays the information but does not collect payments or track who has paid.
Host stamp collections
Create a hosted stamp collection with artwork and benefit milestones. In Create event, Step 3 lets you enable a stamp at check-in and open Manage stamp collection directly. Each member earns one stamp per enabled event after successful check-in.
Photos in event chat
Eligible event chat members can share one photo per message with an optional caption. Photos are resized before upload; the conversation loads a small preview, and the larger image opens only when tapped. Ended event chats remain available to read.
